A legend

How do you know that a person is a legend?

When he dies..........................

His songs was on the radio all the time.

His video clips was on TV on every channel

A 30 seconds presentation on 8TV with his photos & few phrase from his songs

He was on every news on every channel for 3 days in a row.. just to update about his family..fan...etc

He suddenly rich again! Cause his CDs and VideoCDs were sold out again

People gathers all around the world just to mourn & sing his songs.

There is no one like him though there are many who dress and act like him.

I used to have a cassete and a video player of his songs. There all destroyed. I'll go and buy his CD and music video cd.

what a day.....

I've been fasting for two days. Alhamdulillah........ and Yeay. This is one of my personal success. But of course I still have bout 5 days to go.

Office is though today. Not just today but lately since I am being assigned to the current project.. I can choose to dwell on the issues or... focus on finding solution for the issues.

"The issues are too much!! I dont have the time. I dont have enough knowledge. I am not that resourceful. I am not that outspoken enough!"... The list can continues But I have to stop that.

Come down to earth. That wont help me.

I used to believe 'there is a solution to any problem,we just have to find it'. I should still hold on to it, and never give up. I guess.

Looking at the positive side, I do learn new things since being with this project. Meet new people and friends. New experience. It is fun. But at the same time, I do feel the heavy burden on my shoulders.

I can take it as a problem or consider it as a new opportunity for my self improvement.

I choose the latter. I pray for strength, courage, confident and blessings in my future days.

Kampung Style

I love to eat. I can eat almost anything. I like trying new dishes. It creates excitement. And when the taste is superb, it will be one of the things I can never forget.

Taste is a factor. But it is not the only one.

Today, my husband and I went for lunch. It was either Bangsar 21 or Rebung and we settled for the latter.

The buffet is Rm35. ala carte will only begin at 3pm. We were about to change our mind and walk out the gate when Chef Ismail called us. I felt that all eyes were on us. We just couldn't say no then. He handed us a plate each and we finally sat at inner section as the boy waiter pushed us there.

It is really exclusive. I saw plates arrange on racks for decorations. The place i think was to be antique but hey, my grandmother is still using those kind of plates. The women at the counter looked like my father's ex-boss's wife.

Everything seemed exclusive. Including the others who sat there (except for us?!?). Next to us was 3 women. They have Louis Vuttons placed on a spare chair. One of them has hair like dragonball only a bit flatter and has a face which looked like was botoxed 2 days back. next to her was a woman in yellow blouse with air like najib's wife. It was so big she can be Marge Simpson best friend. Hah. They were talking so loudly in english (more like manglish :P).

I think they are the Datins. The lonely ones and this is what they do other than go to SPA or hair saloon! . They were gossiping so loud while having pisang goreng.

We finished our lunch bout 15 minutes later and my husband paid the Rm34.10 bill. Maybe, when i go there next time, i'll sit at the outer section to avoid 'loud' people. The food is good though. Definitely my style.

Friends and Food : A great combination

I work 5 days a week. Everyday, it is dark by the time I grab the keys in my handbag to open the gate of my house. It’s been long since I had some good time with friends out of office. Today, at 3 pm, I went to meet up friends at Marche@The Curve. The gathering is

organized by Ibi. It was a gathering meant for Lily with her old officemates somewhere around in 2004. Lily invited me to joined earlier and since I’ve always wanted to eat at Marche. of course I join.. with my husband too. And of course I would like to hear Lily’s stories and hopefully she will miraculously reveal some of her secrets.

We reached there about 10 minutes after 3 pm. Lily was there with Ibi and Reen. After I swallowed the chocolate Lily gave (it was extremely delicious or perhaps I was incredibly hungry), we went into Marche. Each person is given a coupon for us to use when ordering dishes from about 10 stalls in there. It was quite awkward and a bit confusing in the beginning, since this is the first time I’ve eaten with that kind of arrangement. But, by the end of the day, I like it. The only negative side about it is I had and will always be tempted to order at every stall which means I will eat more than I should.

In my next visit there, i don’t know when, perhaps before ramadhan but I can already picture what to eat.

1. crepe – the crepe is nice.
2. the fruit drink – I missed this one and I saw Ibi had a glass of some dragonfruit plus whatever fruit juice
3. lambchop – this has always been my favourite but I couldn’t recall why I didn’t order this instead I picked some common beef hotdog which I didn’t finish.

Lily has lots of pictures in her camera. The most are her nephew and niece. There grew really fast..children. But the most unforgettable is the controversy picture at Barcelona with a man. Don’t get me wrong. (there’s nothing censored)

She didn’t even knew the man who was actually drunk as she can smell it because that man stood so close to her. The picture was taken because the man wouldn’t move till he hears a ‘click’. It was funny to hear her stories especially that one. That’s an experience. One of the many experiences she had during her times in UK.

I hope she will capture and share more pictures of her life. Beautiful and happy ones. Will definitely miss you, Lily. Cook well with your new 7% discount rice cooker ;)

Earth friendly weekend

This weekend, i basically spent almost all the times with soils and shrubs. I finally have lemongrass growing since bout weeks before. I just hope it will grow well.

The pink flower. A type of lily which grows from bulbs. I took it from my parents home. And it grows well here. Lately. The flower is real beauty right?

Pokok Kari. I bought from nursery....

I moved it to a bigger pot....

I spent quite something for the pot and the soils.

Well, the pot is RM5 each. I bought two. The other is for the lemon grass.

I did try to grew chili few times. I'm not sure how many times.

But lets hope it will work this time :-)

made some changes to my blog today. an achievement. i can hardly find quiet time for blog nowadays. i'm busy with so many things. works. TVs. My seasonal hobbies - crafts garden. oo.. there's nothing to brag about. i only have 4 types of flowers in the pots in my dusty lawn. and the crafts...maybe later.. they are cute though. i'll place them online some day.

now not. i'm sleepy and i have yet to shower. and i think i smell. *urgh* better go now.
